  1. Patient 1 is described in Isenstein et al. 2022
  2. The Fugl-Meyer assessment consists of 10 items selected in Lin et al. 2021. Each item is scored 0, 1, or 2 points with higher score indicating higher functionality. All items are assessed on the left side first and then the right side. The final score is calculated using an online artificial network described in Lin et al. 2021. The maximum score is 100 and the minimum score is 0. A higher score indicates higher functionality
  3. The BARS scoring system is adapted from Schmahmann et al. 2009. The maximum score is 30 and the minimum score is 0. A higher score indicates higher degree of ataxia
