  2. aOn 11 occasions, vitals from wearable sensors identified a 5 + NEWS2 event at the same time as traditional measurements but also identified a 5 + NEWS2 event in the preceding 12 h which was not detected by traditional measurements. We considered this to represent early detection of deterioration and therefore a true positive
